Responsible for regulatory reporting, capital reporting, prudential returns, controls, and reporting automation support for CRDB Bank.

The role is responsible for overseeing regulatory reporting to the Bank of Tanzania and other regulatory authorities with applicable laws, regulations, prudential guidelines and reporting standards; while supporting capital reporting and group consolidation activities. The role supports the Bank's regulatory compliance framework by ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of all regulatory returns. The position plays a key role in monitoring regulatory developments, assessing the impact of new regulations, coordinating implementation of regulatory reporting changes, strengthening reporting controls, supporting regulatory automation initiatives, and providing expert guidance on prudential reporting requirements. The Senior Specialist will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Credit, Operations, ICT, Internal Audit, and regulators to ensure adherence to evolving regulatory expectations and reporting obligations.

Prepare, review, validate, and submit all regulatory reports on a daily, bi-weekly, and monthly within prescribed timelines.

Ensure completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all reports submitted to regulatory authorities.

Perform detailed reconciliations between regulatory reports and source systems, including General Ledger, Trial Balance, Risk, Treasury, and Credit systems.

Maintain comprehensive and auditable documentation supporting all regulatory submissions.

Submit the monthly capital position to the Senior Manager, Capital and Balance Sheet Management.

Consolidate subsidiary reports for group level reporting.

Monitor emerging regulatory requirements, circulars, directives, guidelines, and supervisory expectations issued by the Bank of Tanzania and other relevant authorities.

Assess the impact of regulatory changes on the Bank's reporting obligations and coordinate implementation activities.

Provide regulatory reporting guidance and interpretation to internal stakeholders and participate in industry engagements and regulatory consultations where required.

Support preparation and validation of Capital Adequacy, Liquidity Ratios, Asset Quality Reports, FX Exposure Reports, Leverage Ratio, and other prudential returns.

Assist in performing ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and regulatory capital assessments.

Monitor compliance with regulatory ratios, limits, and prudential requirements and escalate breaches promptly.

Develop and maintain robust controls over regulatory reporting processes.

Conduct data quality reviews and investigate reporting exceptions and variances.

Ensure proper governance over regulatory reporting data sources and reporting methodologies.

Support remediation of regulatory findings, audit observations, and control weaknesses.

Collaborate with ICT, MIS, DWH, and business teams to automate regulatory reporting processes, participate in regulatory reporting system enhancements and testing activities, and support implementation of regulatory reporting solutions and data integration projects.

Drive efficiencies through process optimization, standardization, and digitization initiatives.

Ensure timely submission of abandoned property returns and other statutory disclosures, support compliance with all relevant regulatory reporting obligations and reporting calendars, and maintain up-to-date regulatory reporting procedures, methodologies, and operating manuals.
