Sales and marketing role for chemical products in Mwanza, focused on customer growth, sales targets, collections, record keeping, and client support.
To undertake sales and marketing activities for chemical products, develop new customers, maintain existing client relationships, achieve assigned sales and collection targets, and support business growth.
Prepare daily sales invoices and ensure proper documentation.
Achieve sales and collection targets assigned at the beginning of the year.
Maintain accurate records of chemical sales.
Maintain records of cash and credit customers as required by relevant government authorities.
Attend to customer queries, listen to their concerns, and resolve issues promptly.
Provide timely feedback to clients whenever queries or concerns arise.
Collect customer feedback and identify improvements required to enhance customer satisfaction.
Maintain relationships with existing customers and develop new client accounts.
Ensure product availability and communicate with the Marketing Manager regarding product replenishment or replacement requirements.
Develop new customers for all chemical products.
Generate and maintain market databases for relevant chemical products.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management according to the company’s requirements.
Maintain proper records of sales invoices and delivery note copies.
Record all details of customers purchasing chemicals in a logbook, as required by the Government Chemist Laboratory Agency.
Maintain the required Gross Trading Margin (GTM).
Prepare invoices accurately to minimize errors that could lead to document cancellations.
Follow up with former customers who have stopped purchasing from Tata to increase sales revenue.
Ensure that customer debts remain within agreed payment terms to optimize working capital.
Manage inventory effectively to support product availability and sales operations.
Graduate in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Three to five years of relevant experience in the chemicals industry.
Experience in sales and marketing of chemical products.
Knowledge of industrial chemicals is mandatory.
Good communication skills.
Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in using the internet.
