Project Officer role supporting project reporting, monitoring, planning, governance, and PMO coordination at Bank of Africa Tanzania.
The Project Management Office (PMO) implements and supports project management methodologies to enable the organization to deliver projects faster, at lower cost, with higher quality, and within agreed estimates and expectations.
Provide regular, timely, and accurate reports on project progress, risks, and performance to all relevant stakeholders.
Monitor project execution to ensure adherence to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements to guide project execution.
Ensure that projects comply with organizational policies, standards, and approval processes.
Train team members and promote the effective use of project management tools, including MS Project and Triskell, for project tracking and other collaboration tools.
Provide support in service-related matters for the Organization & Project Management Department.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Understanding of project management methodologies.
Working knowledge of project management software.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Schedule management skills.
Problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Banking, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is mandatory.
At least 2-3 years of work experience in a project management environment.
