About the opportunity
• Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator and Country Representative, the Accountant will be responsible for the following duties: • Financial Management and Reporting • Oversee the financial management and reporting of the project in collaboration with the Project Coordinator, under the supervision of the Country Administrator in Dodoma and headquarters in Italy. • Accounting and Day-to-Day Operations • Perform daily accounting tasks, including booking entries, issuing cheques, processing bank transfers, and conducting monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
What you’ll need
- Essential Requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent field, and CPA Holder.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience as an Accountant, Finance Officer or in a related position, including supervisory experience.
- Previous experience with international NGOs and donor-funded projects.
- Proven experience in preparing budgets, compiling and analyzing data, and preparing financial reports.
- Experience supporting international projects funded by different donors.
