About the opportunity
• The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for: • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and Barrick’s health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. • Reporting all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues through incident reports. • Conducting daily maintenance inspections and executing maintenance of plant equipment. • Ensuring work completion details are finalized in accordance with work requirements and procedures.
What you’ll need
- A relevant Trade Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a Technician Certificate from a recognized institution.
- A Mechanical Trade Certification is highly desired.
- Experience and Competencies Required
- At least 3 years of post-trade-test experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ artisan experience in mechanical fitting, preferably working with gold plant equipment.
- Demonstrated competence in the rebuild and servicing of gold plant equipment.
