About the opportunity
• The Mechanic will be responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and minor to major repairs of vehicles and machinery in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and organizational standards. • The position will help ensure fleet reliability, safety, and operational readiness while complying with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, environmental protection requirements, and AIRD policies. • The role is primarily workshop-based, with occasional field response to vehicle breakdowns. The successful candidate may be required to work extended hours, weekends, or respond to emergencies depending on operational needs.
What you’ll need
- Applicants should have:
- Certificate or Diploma in Auto-Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, generators, and machinery.
- Experience in the repair and maintenance of:
- Heavy-duty trucks
- Buses
