About the opportunity

• Islands of Peace is recruiting a Project Coordinator to coordinate the implementation of one or two programmes within its portfolio, as assigned by the organisation. • The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating programme implementation, monitoring progress and results, working with implementing partners and stakeholders, supporting reporting and budget management, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements and IDP policies. • Main Responsibilities • The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the following: • Programme Planning and Coordination

What you’ll need

  • I. Education and Core Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Sustainable Agriculture, Sustainable Food Systems, Biodiversity, Natural Resources Management, Project Management, Nutrition, or other related fields.
  • Agroecology and food systems will be the centre of focus.
  • Demonstrated technical ability, sound judgment and ability to work effectively with others at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Swahili and English.
  • Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality and sustainable development.
