Responsible for setting up and operating milling equipment, monitoring production quality, carrying out routine maintenance, and keeping accurate operational records.

Machine Setup & Calibration: Prepare, fine-tune, and calibrate milling equipment according to job orders; manage control panels, speed, tension, and operational parameters.

Operations Oversight & Capacity: Drive milling equipment to maximum capacity to hit daily targets; monitor gauges and control panels to detect and resolve operational faults quickly.

Raw Material & Quality Control: Supervise the conditioning and processing of raw maize; conduct quality inspections on raw materials and finished maize flour to eliminate waste and guarantee product integrity.

Routine Maintenance: Execute pre- and post-shift machine inspections, lubricate moving parts, perform minor repairs, and coordinate with maintenance teams for major overhauls.

Safety & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of machine run-time, batch counts, and defects; enforce industrial safety guidelines and onboard/train junior machine operators.

Education: Degree or Vocational Training (VETA) in Grain Milling, Production Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in operating, setting up, and maintaining industrial processing machinery. Experience in a maize flour milling plant is an added advantage.

Technical & Soft Skills: Strong mechanical troubleshooting, quality control inspection, record-keeping, safety compliance, and team leadership skills.
