Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct site surveys and confirm grid requirements.
2. Supervise line construction and electrical installations.
3. Handle TANESCO applications and follow up.
4. Plan and coordinate project schedules and resources.
5. Review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), control costs, and manage variations.
6. Coordinate materials, logistics, and transport.
7. Supervise contractors and monitor team performance.
8. Oversee testing, commissioning, and energization.
9. Ensure Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and quality standards are met.
10. Liaise with clients and stakeholders and provide project reports.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• At least 3–5 years of practical experience in grid connection, power distribution, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Practical knowledge of:

• HT/LV distribution networks
• 11kV/33kV systems
• Transformers
• Pole lines
• ACSR/ABC conductors
• Metering
• Earthing
• Protection systems
• Electrical drawings
• Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

• Valid driving licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Tanzania.
