Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot light-current systems and related low-voltage equipment for TANESCO.
i. Installs, maintains, repairs and services light-current systems and equipment.
ii. Assists in installation and maintenance of security, access control, fire alarm, public address, intercom and other low-voltage systems, as applicable.
iii. Assists in testing and troubleshooting light-current systems and identifies faults.
iv. Carries out replacement and repair of defective cables, devices, sensors, switches and other components.
v. Performs routine inspection and testing of light-current installations.
vi. Assists in installation, termination and testing of low-voltage cables and associated equipment.
vii. Maintains tools, testing instruments and equipment used for light-current works.
viii. Observes electrical safety, occupational health and safety requirements.
ix. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Holder of Secondary Education Certificate and at least VETA Trade Test II/National Vocational Award Level II or Certificate of Competence Level II in Electronics or another relevant trade qualification from a recognized vocational training institution.
