Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will handle a combination of accounting, financial management, compliance, reporting, and administrative responsibilities.

Accounting and Finance Responsibilities

Duties will include:

Monitoring and tracking organisational expenditures.

Preparing donor financial reports.

Ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Leading audits for assigned projects and supporting CCBRT global audits.

Preparing bank documentation and remitting TRA statutory and other statutory returns.

Maintaining debtor control accounts for various clients.

Maintaining creditor control accounts for suppliers.

Managing vouchers and petty cash.

Preparing monthly financial statements.

Entering financial data into the accounting system, including SAP.

Assisting with drafting, filing, and dispatching tender correspondence.

Performing bank reconciliations.

Preparing monthly performance accounts and weekly cash-flow reports.

Maintaining the Moshi fixed asset register and overseeing asset acquisition and disposal.

Ensuring proper maintenance and use of office equipment and facilities.

Administrative Responsibilities

The Accountant and Administrative Assistant will also support day-to-day office operations by:

Maintaining stock records and coordinating reordering.

Assisting new employees during onboarding.

Liaising with IT consultants to resolve technical issues efficiently.

Maintaining an organised office filing system.

Coordinating with suppliers to ensure quality goods and services are delivered on time and within budget.

Producing productivity reports using company time-management software.

Working with the Head of Moshi and CCBRT Head Office on additional assignments.

Supporting logistics for meetings, training sessions, and travel arrangements.

Qualifications and Work Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Education

Advanced or postgraduate diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related financial field.

CPA or ACCA qualification will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.

Experience with accounting and financial management systems will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

Strong computer literacy.

Experience using ERP systems and SAP.

Ability to prepare financial reports, reconciliations, cash flows, and financial documentation.

Other Competencies

The ideal candidate should have:
